As part of our pre-film entertainment, we are bringing an amazing line-up of comedians to our drive in this summer. We have joined forces with the award winning stand-up comedy production Jericho Comedy to enlist the very best comedians for each stop of our summer tour.

Jericho Comedy have won ‘Top 6 comedy nights in the UK’ Chortle Comedy Award 2019 & 2020, has been recommended by the likes of the Sunday Times and BBC Radio, and regular acts have gone on to have Netflix specials, win the BBC new act comedy award and earn nominations for best newcomer and best show at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Jericho have picked some of the best comedians in the UK for the @TheDriveIn summer tour, an accomplished list of performers who have appeared on Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 cats, Have I Got News For You, Live at the Apollo as well as having been nominated for multiple awards at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, the biggest awards in worldwide comedy.

These performers alongside the retro American drive in atmosphere will provide an excellent evening of safe, and hilarious entertainment!

Chelsea Birkby

Chelsea Birkby is an up and coming new comic, a finalist in the prestigious So You Think You're Funny in her first year, Bath New Act Runner Up and semi-finalist in Komedia New Act, 2NorthDown and Leicester Square New Comedian. She is "one to watch" Funny Women, "good gags" Chortle, "personal" The Scotsman and "hilarious" Oxford Mail. and "a rising star" Ox in a Box. She is regularly gigging across the UK and can be seen in some of the UK's biggest and best clubs and at the Edinburgh fringe as well as heard on Radio 4 Xtra, Jack FM and Radio Oxford's The Laugh Lounge.

President Obonjo is an upcoming and increasingly successful stand-up comedian who has been performing Comedy for the past 10 years. As the larger-than-life, uber-confident, self-appointed, side-splitting dictator of 'Lafta Republic', President Obonjo has quietly been leading a comedy revolution to become the first President to take over the comedy industry by storm. He has been creating rumblings by storming New Act competitions including winning Luton Comedian of the Year.

Rosie Jones

Lauren Pattison

Bursting out of the North East and onto the international circuit, Lauren has performed at numerous national and international festivals. In 2018, she was the only UK rising star invited to Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, performing on the Brit(ish) lineup.  Along with Montreal, she has performed at Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, New Zealand and Kilkenny International Comedy Festivals, and in Autumn 2017 she toured India for two weeks with Soho Theatre, playing in Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai.



Amy Matthews blends observational routines with offbeat whimsy, resigning to the absurdity of modern life. So You Think You're Funny 2018 semi-finalist and BBC New Comedy Award 2018 final 15. 


Rick Molland

Rick Molland is an English Stand-Up Comedian and Film Maker based in Scotland. He’s has been declared a highlight of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival by The Scotsman, found himself banned by Swansea City Council and is now one of the most in demand compère's working north of the border.

Brennan Reece is a bright young rising star who burst onto the comedy scene after winning ‘English Comedian of the Year’ in 2015. The following year, he was nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for his sellout debut show ‘Everglow’. 


Brennan is becoming a regular on screens across the UK having recently filmed LIVE AT THE APOLLO (BBC), COMEDY CENTRAL AT THE COMEDY STORE (Comedy Central), THE STAND UP SKETCH SHOW (ITV), ROAST BATTLE (Comedy Central) and LIFE LESSONS (BBC).

Morgan Rees is a rising star of the UK circuit. This softly spoken Welsh comedian boasts a densely packed arsenal of impressive one-liners and hilarious short stories. He has appeared on BBC Radio 4 in the prestigious finals of the BBC New Comedy Award. He was also a runner-up in So You Think You’re Funny 2017, and a finalist in Chortle Student Comedy Award.

Nigel Ng is a Malaysian stand-up comedian who moved to London to pursue a comedy career. He was nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer Award for his sold-out show Culture Shocked at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019, and then followed that up with another sold out week-long run at London’s Soho Theatre in 2020.

He made his TV debut in 2018 on Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central, shortly followed by Comedy Central’s Roast Battle. In 2019, he’s quickly added to this by appearing on Mock the Week (BBC Two), Romesh Presents: Nigel Ng (Sky) and Stand Up, Asia! (Comedy Central).



Conor McReynolds is the host of the Jericho Comedy Podcast, a radio presenter as heard on BBC Radio Oxford and Union Jack FM. 




Laura Lexx is a star on the rise, one of those rare comics to reach the top of the live comedy club circuit and then expertly make the jump across to polished Edinburgh shows and fantastic television appearances.


She made her Live at the Apollo debut in December 2018, Lexx can often be heard on the radio as well, as one of the hosts of the Comedy Club on Radio 4 Extra, where she writes and records all her own material for the show.
